Tasting notes

So, this is the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc Cuvée Marine by Anne Gros. You know, Anne Gros is quite the name in Burgundy, and this white wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir, which is a bit of an adventure, right? Especially with the 2009 vintage, it's got that perfect touch of age.

In Volume 35 of 'Drops of God', Suzuka sources this wine from Taiyo Beer. That scene really stuck with me. The wine was described as being like the first snow gently falling on pale pink camellias, which is such a beautiful and poetic image. The color of the wine truly matches that description, adding a romantic touch.

The color is a slightly orange-tinted gold, and when you swirl it, the legs are slow to form. The aroma unfolds over time, revealing hints of white peach and apricot. There's also a distinct mineral quality, almost like walking on limestone. On the palate, it's mellow and full of vibrant acidity, giving it a balanced structure. The finish is somewhat long, allowing you to savor its complexity.

It's an elegant and mineral-driven wine, best served a bit chilled at around 8–10°C. Try it in a small glass to really capture those delicate aromas.
