Tasting notes
Hey, you should really try this Spanish red from Madrid, the Licinia. It's a 2008 vintage crafted by Bodegas Licinia. While Madrid isn't the first place you think of for wine, this bottle makes quite an impression, you know?
Remember in volume 36 where Shizuku and the others were at the wine bar? They were sipping this very Licinia, and they called it passionate and straightforward. When you tilt the glass, it's like the warm Spanish sun is captured right inside.
The color is a vibrant garnet with a hint of brick at the rim. On the nose, you get these rich aromas of black cherry and dried plums, with a touch of smokiness. On the palate, it’s all about power. The acidity is lively, and the tannins are velvety smooth. It's got a solid body with a burst of fruitiness.
The finish is long, letting you savor every moment. Use a larger glass and give it some time to open up, and you’ll find its complexity really shines through.
