Tasting notes

Delamotte Brut is a non-vintage sparkling wine crafted by the prestigious Champagne house, Delamotte. Known as the sibling of the renowned Salon, this blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier showcases the elegance of Champagne in a bottle that you can enjoy any day.

In volume 34 of 'Drops of God', Shizuku and Sarah enjoy this Delamotte Champagne over lunch. It's not the special occasion bottle like Salon, but they were amazed at how it delivered such depth at a casual setting—it's quite a steal around 4,000 yen.

Pouring into the glass, you'll notice the fine bubbles and a lustrous golden hue. The nose opens up with a bouquet of freshly baked bread and yeast, with hints of green apple and white flowers adding a fresh touch. On the palate, the vibrant acidity is alive, with bubbles dancing across your tongue. Although it's dry, there's a gentle fruit sweetness that rounds it out beautifully.

The finish is moderately long with a sense of complexity, making it versatile for pairing with various dishes. Serve it chilled in a small glass to enhance its refreshing character.
