Tasting notes

Château Lucia from Bordeaux is a classic red, made mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The 2004 vintage is particularly noteworthy, an evolution from 2001 that’s been getting quite the buzz. When you open this bottle, you can truly feel the rich soils of Bordeaux and the meticulous craftsmanship of its makers.

This wine appears in volume 11, where Kawarage praises its quality. He mentions it being a significant leap from 2001, and once you pour it, you’ll see why. The ruby hue is stunning, catching your eye immediately and setting the stage for what's to come.

Bring the glass to your nose, and you’re greeted by ripe cassis and blackberry aromas, with a gentle hint of cedar—it's like taking a stroll through a forest, really comforting. On the palate, the tannins are robust but not overwhelming, with a lively acidity balancing everything out. It spreads richly across your mouth, leaving a velvety texture.

The finish is long, keeping those rich flavors lingering even after you’ve put the glass down. To get the best out of it, I’d suggest a larger glass and serving it at room temperature. This wine is elegant and perfect for savoring the lingering finish.
